A Memorable Moment in Willson’s Philanthropic History
Three Oakville residents, including Willson International’s very own CEO, Peter Willson were rewarded for their selflessness at an awards ceremony in Burlington that took place at the Golden Horseshoe Philanthropy Awards during National Philanthropy Day back in 2011.
Peter Willson won the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award for his recognizable contributions as the Board Chair of the Trillium Health Centre Foundation. Peter, along with Willson International, contributed funds that helped buy the hospital a new CT scanner that has greatly benefited the care of many patients. Peter also gave back to the community by co-founding the Bike 4 Betty fundraiser, which is an event that supports cancer care services at Trillium.
Upon receiving his award, Peter mentioned, “To me volunteerism is about working on behalf of others who promote good and good quality of life.”
Willson International, since then, has been involved in supporting many events that have impacted the community in a positive way.
