CUSMA: Key Resources from the Government of Canada

The Government of Canada provides a number of resources for Canadian companies looking to find out more about the Canada, United States, Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) aka, the new NAFTA” and how it will impact their business:

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) helps Canadian businesses expand their reach with programs, services, and an on-the-ground network in more than 160 countries around the world, including 19 offices in the U.S. and Mexico. Contact a trade commissioner” in a regional trade office in Canada or abroad” for expert assistance for all your company’s export needs.

The Can Export SME program provides up to $75,000 to help Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) bring their products and services to new international markets. The program provides expert advice on business, legal, and tax matters, and covers up to 75% of the costs for a variety of export marketing activities:

market research
trade events
intellectual-property protection
