USTR Proposes Additional China Tariffs
Today, President Trump tweeted that the United States plans on levying additional tariffs on Chinese origin goods. This a ‘modification’ to the current Section 301 investigation adds 3,805 full and partial tariff subheadings to the current commodities subject to additional duties. If enacted, a 10 percent duty will be added to the goods on the list beginning September 1st, 2019. At this time the action is not official.
