Key Responsibilities

The Drayage Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of import containers (FCL), LCL, and air shipments from seaports, rail terminals, warehouses and airport terminals to their final destinations. This role involves monitoring new orders, ensuring timely pickups, and proactively managing cargo availability, customs and freight releases, and last-mile delivery coordination.

  • Regularly check terminals and warehouse websites for cargo availability of import containers (FCL), LCL and air shipments.
  • Ensure timely customs clearance and freight releases.
  • Coordinate the delivery of import containers (FCL), LCL and air shipments upon cargo availability.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carriers.
  • Quote clients accurately and maintain a high win rate.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with carriers.
  • Track and trace ocean and air shipments daily, ensuring all parties are informed of status changes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining positive client relations.
  • Verify the accuracy of vendors’ invoices and ensure timely billing to clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, particularly with import containers (FCL), LCL and air shipments.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of customs brokerage process and freight forwarding.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Proficiency in tracking and tracing shipments.
  • Problem-solving, accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
