Detroit Field Office Issues Information Pipeline on Brown Rugose Fruit Virus

On Wednesday, the Detroit Field office of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued an “Information Pipeline” document regarding the “Northern Border Imports of Tomato and Pepper Shipments with Suspected Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV) Symptoms.”

In this document, CBP details the process and procedures at the Ports of Detroit and Port Huron. If your company ships tomatoes or peppers that were grown in Mexico, Israel, or the Netherlands, please take time to read and understand the process occurring at the port of entry. This will help your company navigate the process more efficiently.
