CFIA has confirmed that the FIN (Fish Import Notification) is no longer required. It has been eliminated for both SFC licence holders and Fish Inspection Regulations licence holders.
Update: The FIN is no longer required regardless of whether the importer/broker submits their declaration through OGD PARS, RMD or IID. In all cases, the FIN is not required.  This point will be clarified in CFIA’s next round of SFCR updates.
