No Exemptions to List 3 of China 301 Tariffs

The U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer has told U.S. Senators that there will not be exemptions for goods on the third list of the China 301 tariffs.  This list contains the largest number of tariffs but at a reduced rate of 10 percent duty until March 2nd, 2019.  However, if the tariffs rise to 25 percent after March 2nd, an exemption process will be implemented.  The increase from 10 to 25 percent will implemented if the U.S. – China negotiations are unsuccessful.
