The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a final rule determination that shrimp and abalone will require SIMP information transmit with the entry starting December 31st, 2018. The new government spending bill required shrimp and abalone to be added to the Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP) by the end of the year in order to gain passage. The tariff classifications impacted are listed in the Federal Register notice.
