The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has released their inspection statistics relating to the Foreign Supplier Verification importer compliance. According to the report by the National Customs Broker’s Association (NCBFAA), only 36 percent of all importer inspections resulted in a passing grade. Whilst 76 percent of foreign facilities received a passing grade. At this point in time the FDA is taking an “educate while they regulate†approach but they are taking action when the noncompliance creates a risk to the public.
