US Department of Commerce Initiates ADD/CVD Investigation on Forged Steel Fittings

On November 1st, US Customs released CSMS message 17-000687 notifying importers and the trade that the US Department of Commerce has initiated an ADD/CVD investigation on forged steel fittings from the People’s Republic of China, Italy and Taiwan.  Anti-dumping duty is an additional duty assessed on products to prevent the flooding of these items into the US market.  Countervailing duty is levied when a foreign government is found to be subsidizing an industry, creating an unequal playing field in the global marketplace.

If your company ships steel fittings into the United States, please follow the link to the CSMS message and determine if your goods are covered in the scope.  If you have any questions, please contact the US Transition Team at transitionus@willsonintl.044d949.netsolhost.com.
