Health Canada’s Consumer Product Safety Program

Health Canada has posted four new Consumer Product Enforcement Summary Reports:

Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Report: the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify industry’s compliance of bassinets which are subject to the Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations.

Toys Report: the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify industry’s compliance with the boric acid and salts of boric acid requirements of the Toys Regulations.

Mandatory Incident Reporting Report: the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify industry’s compliance with the (CCPSA) section 14 requirements specific to incident reporting.

Furniture Tip-over Report: the purpose of this Standards project was to sample clothing storage units over 30 inches (762 mm) in height and test them to the performance criteria of a consensus-based safety standard in order to verify compliance to the CCPSA. The safety standard used as a basis for the project testing was ASTM F2057-14.
