CFIA Industry Labelling Tool Update – Meat and Poultry Products

Please be advised that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has provided additional guidance on the Labelling Requirements for Meat and Poultry Products to the Industry Labelling Tool.

The following sections have been added:

Highlighted Meat Cuts in the Common Name

Species-Specific Common Names

The section “Species-Specific Claims” has been changed to “Meat Cut and Species Specific Claims” and now contains examples and further guidance.
