FDA removes Food Facilities from Database

In the month of February, the U.S. Foods and Drug Administration removed 47,635 food facilities from its database, which is approximately 20 percent of all registrations.  5,299 of these revoked registrations were Canadian based companies.  The overwhelming reason for removal was failure to renew registration at the end of 2018.  Food facilities with expired registrations must re-register with the FDA and obtain a new registration number.
