Effective on March 18, 2015, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) will enforce the new requirements for foreign inspection certificates. Filers must begin submitting foreign inspection certificates meeting the new requirements using a revised Form 9540-1. The revised form will include additional information about the product being imported, such as process category and source country.
