Exporter Reporting

D20-1-1, Exporter Reporting

This memorandum outlines and explains the guidelines and procedures respecting the report of goods exported from Canada by exporters.

1. The revisions contained in this memorandum are aimed at eliminating obsolete and duplicate requirements, streamlining certain commercial processes and correcting certain guidelines.

2. Air, highway, marine and rail carriers should refer to Memorandum D3-1-8, Cargo – Export Movements for the guidelines and procedures respecting the report and control of cargo exported from Canada. For the purposes of the Reporting of Exported Goods Regulations, a customs service provider may also be the carrier of the goods. In this case, the responsibilities outlined in Memorandum D3-1-8 must also be fulfilled.

4. Appendix B was added to provide information on the Summary Reporting Program.
