Tribunal Initiates Safeguard Inquiry Concerning Certain Vegetable Goods
The purpose of this inquiry is to determine whether the above-mentioned goods are being imported into Canada in such increased quantities and under such conditions as to be a principal cause of serious injury or threat thereof to Canadian producers of like or directly competitive goods.
The Tribunal must report to the Minister of Finance by September 9, 2026.
Notice of initiation of investigations: Unarmoured Building Cables
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated investigations on March 16, 2026, respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of unarmoured building cables (UBC) originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China (China).
