Directly or Indirectly Selling Oil to Cuba May Come with Newly Imposed Tariffs

President Donald Trump stated in an executive order that he found the policies, practices, and actions of the Government of Cuba directly threatens the safety, national security, and foreign policy of the United States. Due to this, new International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) may be used to impose tariffs on countries that directly or indirectly sell or give oil or oil products to Cuba. It’s to be determined to what the duty rate should be. Details are still emerging.
