Global Affairs Canada: Public Consultations on Proposed Smelt and Cast Reporting for Aluminum Imports

Global Affairs Canada (GAC) has proposed regulatory changes to the General Import Permit No. 83 to require importers to provide country of smelt and cast (CSC) information for applicable aluminum goods. The proposed regulatory changes are now available for stakeholder feedback in the Canada Gazette, Part I.

To provide feedback on the proposed regulatory changes, interested parties are encouraged to submit their comments using the following link:
