U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently announced an update to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal process for importers making changes to their ACH refund account information. As outlined in CSMS #70162211, users will now be required to complete an additional verification step when updating ACH refund banking details within the ACE Portal.
This enhancement is designed to strengthen account security and help protect against unauthorized changes to refund banking information.
Importers and ACE Portal Account Owners should review the updated procedures and ensure the appropriate personnel are aware of the new verification requirements before submitting ACH refund account changes.
