Aluminum Extrusions – Expiry Review

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) conducted an expiry review concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain aluminum extrusions originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China, and hereby continues its order in respect of the aforementioned goods.

Copper Pipe Fittings - Notice of Initiation of Normal Value and Export Price Review

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has  initiated a normal value and export price review to update the normal values and export prices of certain copper pipe fittings exported to Canada from the United States by Nacobre USA LLC (Nacobre).

The review is part of the CBSA’s enforcement of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) findings of material injury issued on February 19, 2007, and continued, without amendment, by order dated February 17, 2012 and continued, with amendment, by order dated November 28, 2016, respecting the dumping of certain copper pipe fittings from the United States, South Korea and China, in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA).

Should the exporter decide to participate in this normal value and export price review, it is required to provide a complete and accurate response to the CBSA’s Request for Information (RFI) by February 19, 2020. The exporter will be considered co-operative if the requested information is complete, submitted on time and the exporter permits verification of the data.

If the exporter does not provide a complete response to the RFI by the deadline date, any previous normal values issued to the exporter will be immediately revoked and normal values applicable to subject goods exported by Nacobre will be determined by advancing the export price of the goods by 242%, pursuant to a ministerial specification.

Sucker Rods 2 - Preliminary Determination – Statement of Reasons

The Canada Border Services Agency made a preliminary determination on December 30, 2019 respecting the dumping of certain sucker rods originating in or exported from Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.

For the purpose of this investigation, subject goods are defined as:

Sucker rods, including pony rods, with or without couplings attached and with or without guides attached, manufactured to American Petroleum Institute (API) 11B specifications, equivalent standards or proprietary standards, including in a finished or semi-finished state, made of solid steel, including carbon, alloy and special grades of steel, of 2.5 inches (63.5 mm) or less in diameter of rod body, with stated measurements subject to permissible tolerances originating in or exported from the Argentine Republic, the Federative Republic of Brazil and the United Mexican States.
