Nitisinone Capsules – Notice of Preliminary Determinations
On December 20, 2018, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping with respect to certain nitisinone capsules from Sweden.
Provisional duties will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after December 20, 2018.
Concrete Reinforcing Bar -Â Notice of Conclusion of Normal Value Review
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has concluded a normal value review to update the normal values and export prices applicable to certain concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) exported to Canada from Turkey by IÇDAŞ Celik Enrji Tersane ve Ulasim Sanayi A.S. (Içdaş).
The normal value review is part of the CBSA’s enforcement of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) finding of a threat of injury issued on January 9, 2015, respecting the dumping of certain concrete reinforcing bar from China, Korea, and Turkey and the subsidizing of certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from China, in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA).
Certain Hollow Structural Sections -Â Notice of Initiation of Expiry Review Investigation
On December 10, 2018, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT), initiated an expiry review of its order conncerning the dumping of hollow structural sections originating in or exported from South Korea and Turkey.
As a result of the CITT’s expiry review, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the subject goods. The CBSA will make a determination no later than May 9, 2019, and will issue a Statement of Reasons by May 24, 2019.
The subject goods are structural tubing known as hollow structural sections made of carbon and alloy steel, welded, in sizes up to and including 16.0 inches (406.4mm) in outside diameter for round products and up to and including 48.0 inches (1,219.2 mm) in periphery for rectangular and square products, commonly but not exclusively made to ASTMA500, ASTMA513, CSA G.40.21-87-50W and comparable specifications, originating in or exported from South Korea and Turkey.
