Oil Country Tubular Goods and Seamless Casing – Notice of Conclusion of Normal Value and Export Price Review

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today concluded a normal value and export price review to update the normal values and export prices applicable to certain oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and certain seamless casing exported to Canada from China by exporter HG Tubulars Ltd. (HG Tubulars).

Certain Nitisinone Capsules – Notice of Final Determination

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a final determination of dumping in respect of certain nitisinone capsules from Sweden.  The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is continuing its inquiry into the question of injury to the domestic industry and will make an order or finding by April 18, 2019.

Hot-Rolled Carbon Steel Plate – Notice of Expiry Finding

Interested firms, organizations, persons or governments wishing to make submissions on whether an expiry review is warranted must file a notice of participation with the Tribunal on or before April 5, 2019.  Each counsel who intends to represent a party in these proceedings must also file a notice of representation, as well as a declaration and undertaking, with the Tribunal on or before April 5, 2019. The Tribunal will distribute the list of participants on April 8, 2019.  The deadline for filing submissions is April 16, 2019. If there are opposing views, each party may file a response no later than April 24, 2019.

Aluminum Extrusions – Expiry Review

Notice of Expiry No. LE-2018-008, issued on January 17 2019, informed interested persons and governments of the impending expiry of the Tribunal’s order in Expiry Review No. RR‑2013‑003, continuing, without amendment, its findings made on March 17, 2009, in Inquiry No. NQ-2008-003, as amended by its determination made on February 10, 2011, in Inquiry No. NQ‑2008‑003R, concerning the dumping and subsidizing of the subject goods. On the basis of the information filed during the expiry process, the Tribunal is of the opinion that an expiry review of the order is warranted.

Certain Silicon Metal, Notice of Expiry Review Decision

The CBSA has determined that the expiry of the finding:
– is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of such goods originating in or exported from China; and

– is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of such goods originating in or exported from China.

The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its finding is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry, and has announced that it will issue its decision no later than August 22, 2019.
