Certain Copper Pipe Fittings - Extension of Re-investigation

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has  extended the re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices respecting certain copper pipe fittings from the United States, South Korea and China and the amounts of subsidy of certain copper pipe fittings from China.  The CBSA extended the conclusion of the re-investigation 28 days due to the complexity and novelty of the issues presented by the re-investigation.  Consequently, the re-investigation will be concluded by June 28, 2019.

Certain Carbon Steel Fasteners - Notice of Re-investigation

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today initiated a re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices, in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), respecting certain carbon steel fasteners originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China (China) and the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu (Chinese Taipei), and the amounts of subsidy respecting certain carbon steel fasteners originating in or exported from China (subject goods).

The product definition and the applicable tariff classification number of the goods subject to the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) are available on the Canada Border Services Agency website.

It is anticipated that this re-investigation will be concluded by November 14, 2019.

Certain Nitisinone Capsules – Statement of Reasons

Based on the available evidence, the CBSA is satisfied that NIT originating in or exported from Sweden has been dumped.  On March 20, 2019, the CBSA made a final determination of dumping in respect of those goods.

The CITT’s inquiry into the question of injury to the domestic industry is continuing, and it will issue its decision by April 18, 2019.  Provisional duty will continue to be imposed on the subject goods from Sweden until the CITT renders its decision.
