Tribunal Initiates Expiry Review—Certain Grinding Media
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review to determine if the expiry of the finding is likely to lead to continued or resumed dumping or subsidizing of certain grinding media from India and is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
The Canada Border Services Agency will determine if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping or subsidizing by December 31, 2026. In the event of a positive determination, the Tribunal will determine, no later than June 11, 2027, whether the continued or resumed dumping or subsidizing is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
Tribunal Initiates Final Injury Inquiry—Certain Unarmoured Building Cables
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an inquiry to determine whether the dumping and subsidizing of certain unarmoured building cables, originating in or exported from China, have caused injury or retardation or are threatening to cause injury.
This final injury inquiry was initiated further to a notice received from the Canada Border Services Agency stating that preliminary determinations had been made respecting the dumping and subsidizing of the above‑mentioned goods.
Notice of conclusion of expiry review investigation – Wheat Gluten
The CBSA has determined that the expiry concerning the dumping of wheat gluten originating in or exported from Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Lithuania is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of such goods originating in or exported from Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Lithuania.
The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its finding is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry and will issue its decision no later than January 6, 2027.
