U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued CSMS #69035485 providing guidance on an update to the CAPE process for entries flagged for reconciliation when a reconciliation entry has not yet been filed. Effective June 29, 2026, the update allows affected entries included on a CAPE declaration to be accepted before the associated reconciliation entry is filed. Once the entries identified on the CAPE declaration are accepted, importers may then submit the reconciliation entry.
