CBP Extends Time period for AD/CVD and Section 232 Rejects

U.S. Customs issued CSMS 18-000301 this week, officially modifying the time period for AD/CVD and Section 232 rejected entry summaries.  Previously, if U.S. Customs determined that these additional duties should have been assessed on an entry, and were not, the entry summary could be rejected for up to 90 days after summary was filed.  Now, U.S. Customs will be rejecting summaries for up to 300 days after summary with supervisory approval.  If this occurs, the entry will be sent back to the filer (broker) for correction.
