The US Department of Commerce has set new countervailing duty cash deposit requirements for imports of hardwood plywood products from China.  These rates will be retroactive and apply to shipments from January 25th, 2017 and after.  Excluded from the scope of the CVD assessments are ready-to-assemble furniture and pre-assembled kitchen cabinets.  The rates range from 111.09% for one manufacturer/exporter to the all other rate of 9.89%. These rates are intended to ‘level the playing field’ for US manufacturers.
