U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued CSMS #69657207, immediately rescinding support for the longstanding “Flying Trucks” process. CBP determined that the procedure no longer aligns with current regulatory requirements.
Express carriers and affected stakeholders must transition to standard truck manifest filing procedures. CBP has provided a 90-day transition period to allow impacted parties time to update their processes and ensure compliance.
