U.S. Customs issued CSMS 18-000531 updating the Seafood Importing Monitoring Program that became effective on May 24th, 2018. Shrimp and Abalone have now been added to the program with the compliance date of December 31st, 2018. Please be advised that a valid NMFS International Fisheries Trade Permit (IFTP) is mandatory. The shipment will not be able to transmit to CBP without that permit. The list of tariff numbers and three digit codes have been provided in an excel format.
