Customs User Fee Adjustments Effective October 1, 2026

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced inflation-based adjustments to customs user fees that will take effect on October 1, 2026.

Among the changes, the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) will increase for both formal and informal entries. For formal entries, the minimum MPF will increase to $34.58, while the maximum MPF will increase to $670.86.

Importers should be aware of these updates and review their potential impact on import costs and customs transactions. A complete list of adjusted customs user fees is available in the published Federal Register notice.
