FDA Delays Compliance Dates for Nutritional Labeling Changes

After a May 2016 decision to begin enforcement of new labeling requirements, the FDA has determined that the enforcement dates will be postponed until “a later time.”  Initially, small business were required to comply by July 2019, and all other businesses by July 2018.  This labeling will require updated information on the links between diet and chronic diseases such as diabetes.  If your company has not yet reviewed the changes to labeling, please review the FDA’s website.
