Last Friday, CSMS Message 39785981 notified all subscribers that the FDA has created the “FDA Establishment Identifier (FEI) Portal.â€Â This portal allows stake holders to verify FEI numbers provided by their suppliers. The FEI is a number provided by the FDA upon successful completion of registration as a facility. Most notably, these numbers are a requirement for the importation of medical devices. If your company has the FEI from a supplier or the name and address of the facility, that information can be validated to ensure that your broker is provided with the most accurate information for the data transmission to the FDA.
