FSIS Releases Guidance Document on Importing Meat and Meat Products

The Food Safety and Inspection Service published a new guidance document on the importation of beef, poultry, egg products, and catfish.  This document is intended to help importers comply with FSIS requirements.  The guidance also lists ’best practices’ for inspection facilities.  A comment period is now open on this document.  After the comment period closes, the document will be updated as needed.
