As many of our readers have been following, the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program lapsed on January 1st, 2018. However, it was reinstated with the passage of the Omnibus Spending Bill a few short weeks ago. U.S. Customs has notified the trade community that refunds for duties paid during the lapse will begin to be processed on April 22nd.  If your company uses GSP, please be patient, your cheques are in the mail!
