New Consumer Product Enforcement Summary Reports on Health Canada website

Health Canada has posted six new Consumer Product Enforcement Summary Reports on our website:

Second-Hand Products Report: the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify the used-product industry’s compliance under the CCPSA and its regulations, the Food and Drug Act, as it relates to cosmetics, and the Cosmetic Regulations.

Consumer Chemicals and Container Report:  the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify industry’s compliance of consumer chemicals with the requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations.

Carriages and Stroller Report: the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify industry’s compliance of strollers with specific requirements of the Carriages and Strollers Regulations.

Surface Coating Materials Report: the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify industry’s compliance of products with an applied surface coating material with the specific lead content requirements of the Surface Coating Materials Regulations.

Toys Report: the purpose of this Cyclical Enforcement (CE) project was to verify industry’s compliance of toys with specific requirements of the Toys Regulations.

USB Chargers Report: the purpose of this standards project was to sample USB wall chargers and test them to the performance criteria of a consensus-based safety standard in order to verify compliance to the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
