On January 15th, 2020, President Trump has stated that he expects to sign “Phase 1†of the China trade deal. This deal would lower the List 4a rates from 15 percent to 7.5 percent. However, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has not yet received instructions on the implementation date. This reduction will impact approximately 3,800 tariff numbers.
