Proof of Origin for the different free trade agreements is available on the Canada Border Services Agency website. The information provides guidance to the trade community on the type of certification needed when making a claim for a preferential tariff treatment.  You will also find information on shipping requirements, exceptions to proof of origin, record keeping requirements, as well as information on the advance rulings and national customs rulings programs.

Proof of origin requirements will also apply to the Canada US Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) and more information on the origin declaration for goods that originate under that Agreement are available in Annex 5-A of Chapter 5, Origin Procedures, of the Agreement
