Global Affairs Canada reviews importer data with regards to quantity and value for duty declared on the Commercial Accounting Document (CAD).
For imports of aluminum products, CLS, CS2, and CRC must be clearly indicated where applicable.
For imports of steel products, country of melt-and-pour must be clearly indicated where applicable.
It is the responsibility of the importer to provide accurate information on the customs documents.
Failure to do so could result in administrative monetary penalties being issued.
