CSMS 18-000477 has been issued in accordance with the Presidential Proclamation signed on Friday. This officially doubles the Section 232 duty rates for steel and aluminum manufactured in Turkey as of 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on August 13th, 2018 with respect to goods entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption.
The duty rate on steel is now 50% and the rate on aluminum is not 20%, in addition to the regular tariff rate for items made in Turkey.
