As we continue to follow the ongoing humanitarian and security crisis on the Southwest border of the United States, a U.S. Customs spokesperson stated that some officers from airports and northern border offices will be placed on temporary assignment along the southern border to support the U.S. Border Patrol’s activities. However, the number, date of reassignment, and locations from which the officers will be drawn from is not yet determined. This could result in staffing shortages along the northern border at a later date. We will continue to follow this story in the Willson eNews.
