U.S. Trade Representative Releases Proposed Tariff List on Chinese Products

This week, the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice of proposed Harmonized Tariff Schedule numbers for the Section 301 tariffs on China origin goods.  These tariffs would impose up to a 25% duty on approximately 1,300 different tariff numbers if the goods were made in China.  The major economic sectors impacted are aerospace, information and communication technology, robotics, and machinery.

Please note that these tariff increases are only ‘proposed’ at this time.  However, if your company ships goods of China origin to the United States, please verify the tariff numbers used for your products against the published list (pages 14 through 58).
