The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has given notice that its finding made on December 11, 2012, in Inquiry No. NQ-2012-003, that the dumping of carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei, the Republic of India, the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, the Republic of Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, and the subsidizing of the aforementioned goods originating in or exported from the Republic of India, the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates was threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry, is scheduled to expire on December 10, 2017, unless the Tribunal has initiated an expiry review.

Carbon Steel Welded Pipe, Review No. NQ-2012-003R

On July 21, 2017, the Minister of Finance asked the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) to review its finding of December 11, 2012, in Inquiry No. NQ-2012-003, that certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei was threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry, and to have regard to the recommendations and rulings of the Dispute Settlement Body of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in relation to the WTO panel report in Canada – Anti-Dumping Measures on Imports of Certain Carbon Steel Welded Pipe from the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu (DS482).  The Tribunal hereby gives notice that it has initiated such a review.
