Catfish from Certain Countries No Longer Admissible

The United States Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has notified the trade that effective March 1st, 2018, catfish (Siluriformes) and fish products from certain countries are no longer eligible for export to the United States.

These countries include: Guyana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Canada, Mexico, and Gambia.  This applies to processed fish only.  Live catfish are still eligible for entry.
