In accordance with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act), US Customs fees will be increasing to coincide with inflation. This increase will impact all importers. Most notable amongst the increases is the increase of Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF).
Previously the minimum MPF on a formal entry was $25.00, but will be increasing to $25.67. The maximum MPF fee was $485.00, but will now increase to $497.99. Informal entry MPF will rise from $2.00 to $2.05. Please note that these changes will increase fees for trucks, vessels, aircrafts, and rail cars.
