The news has been swirling this week regarding the next round of duties that the United States is planning to impose on China origin goods. The official notice has been issued that List 4a will become effective on September 1st, 2019 at a rate of 15 percent. Additionally, List 4b is scheduled to go into effect at a rate of 15 percent on December 15th, 2019.
We are aware that President Trump plans to increase the 25 percent duty on List 1, List 2, and List 3 to 30 percent. At this time, no notice has been published in the Federal Register confirming that action. We will continue to monitor for any official publication notices.
