Decommissioning of OGD Service Options PARS & RMD
The CBSA recognizes the transformative change that SWI adoption represents to the trade community. Significant effort has been made to meet the April 1, 2018 deadline, and we are currently on track to have trade chain partners (TCPs) representing approximately 70% of volumes on-boarded by that time. However it is evident despite best efforts by all concerned that we will need to amend its timeline to meet our objectives of 100% on-boarding and usage of the IID.
As a result, we will be adjusting the target date to bring predictability and allow additional time essential to implement the change as follows:
The deadline to on-board to the SWI/IID is extended to January 1, 2019. By this date, all clients are expected to have completed testing and be certified to transmit via the IID.
To support the transition to the IID, the deadline to sunset legacy service options OGD PARS and OGD RMD is extended to April 1, 2019.
