Reminder: Seasonal Produce Tariff Number Changes for Cucumbers & Tomatoes

As a reminder, on July 1st the seasonal tariff number for cucumbers will change from 0707.00.50 to 0707.00.6010 (greenhouse), 0707.00.6030 (if not greenhouse and less than 6 inches in length) or 0707.00.6050 (if not greenhouse and greater than 6 inches in length).

On July 14th, the seasonal tariff number for tomatoes will change from 0702.00.20 to 0702.00.4010 (if greenhouse), 0702.00.4035 (if field grown cherry), 0702.00.4046 (if field grown grape), 0702.00.4065 (if field grown roma/plum) or 0702.00.4098 (if field grown and not previously named).

If you are using an electronic platform for your shipments, such as ShipCheck, please remember to change the tariff numbers in your profile so that the proper tariff numbers are sent. When incorrect tariff numbers are sent, it causes delays in shipment processing as the numbers must to be manually changed prior to transmission for release.  Please set your email calendars.

If you need assistance activating or deactivating your part numbers in ShipCheck, please contact our Transition team at 716.260.1580 option 4 or email transitionus@willsonintl.044d949.netsolhost.com.

COVID-19 is a global challenge. Keeping our supply chains moving is important for maintaining the health and wellbeing of citizens and businesses. While the Canada - U.S. border is now closed to non-essential traffic, it is still open for trade and commerce. We are committed to doing our part for global supply chains.

We are protecting the health and safety of our employees. They are working from home, except for critical functions that require certain equipment or managing paper/courier flow. In those cases we are following social distancing guidelines.

We are open and available to assist you, and key players in your supply chains. Our dedicated staff are available 24/7 and our brokerage and logistics experts are available to help you make adjustments to your supply chain, if necessary.

We encourage you to check out the government programs available to families, businesses, exporters and importers. And, while respecting the need for social distancing we encourage everyone, including our staff, to reach out and remain connected to family, friends, colleagues and customers.

Stay safe.
