U.S. & Japan Reach Trade Deal

On Wednesday, the U.S. Trade Representative announced that the United States and Japan have reached a trade agreement.  Though an implementation date is not set, the preliminary agreement would allow for the duty free entry or preferential tariff access to over 90 percent of the U.S. Food and Agricultural products that enter Japan.  In turn, the U.S. would reduce or eliminate on industrial goods, machine tools, fasteners, turbines, bicycles and parts, and musical instruments.
