U.S. Trade Representative Publishes Final USMCA Regulations

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative posted both the implementing instructions and the USMCA Uniform regulations for the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement that goes into effect on July 1, 2020.  This agreement replaces NAFTA.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced the creation of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) Center to aide in the implementation of the new agreement.  If you have questions about the USMCA and you would like to contact CBP directly, you can do so through their email USMCA@cbp.dhs.gov

NAFTA Certificates will expire on June 30th, 2020.  Please be sure to obtain the new USMCA form from our website and provide it to service@willsonintl.com .

The deadline for the USMCA/CUSMA Certificate of Origin form is June 30th, 2020. Forms received after that date may not receive preferential treatment and duty will be assessed.  Please note that CBP will not issue refunds for Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) on post importation refund claims.
