PETER WILLSON

CPA, CA, ICD.D, MBA, B.S (Engineering) Executive Chairman

Peter is the fourth generation of active management from the Willson family. Before joining the company in 1997, he worked with accounting firm Ernst & Young specializing in audits of healthcare and mining companies.

Deeply committed to his community, Peter has served as a Director and Chair of the Upper Canada Chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), as a member of the Regional Council for YPO, and on its Regional Board of Directors.

Peter also served as a Director of the Trillium Health Centre Foundation and Trillium Health Centre (2007-2013), and as Foundation Chair (2010-2013). In recognition of his community service, Peter was awarded Volunteer of the Year from the Golden Horseshoe Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Peter holds a Metallurgical Engineering degree from Queens University and an MBA from the university of Toronto. He is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Director from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

JIM MCKINNON

CPA, CMA,  President and ceo

Jim’s extensive career began as an Internal Auditor with TNT Canada Inc. (freight and logistics) in 1989. His responsibility and business oversight rose through expanding roles at TNT, Converse Canada (footwear and apparel) and Jack of All Games (Canada) Inc. (video games software and accessories), where he spent five years as Director of Finance and Operations and five years as Vice President of Operations, effectively running the Canadian operation.

More recently, Jim served as Vice President of Finance with Solutions 2 Go Inc. for four years (video games software and accessories), and has been with Willson International Limited as Vice President of Finance and Strategy since February 2014. Jim’s educational background includes an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics having graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1989, a Certified Management Accountancy (now CPA-CMA) in 1990, and graduation from the Queens Executive Program in 2012.

ANGELA COLLINS​

QO, CTCS, CCS (Cda & US) Chief Regulatory Officer & Vice President, Client Services

With over 42 years of progressive responsibilities and experience in the customs brokerage and logistics sectors, Angela is a licensed customs broker with designations as both a Canadian and U.S. Certified Customs Specialist and a Certified Trade Compliance Specialist.

With Willson for over 32 years, Angela is responsible for all regulatory requirements, client service, and account transitions with a focus on corporate and client customs compliance. Angela has engaged in extensive training programs on management, client service and team building to ensure Willson’s delivery of outstanding service levels.

Angela serves on the board of the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) and was elected Chair in September of 2016. She served in that capacity for three terms and continues to represent Willson on that board. She also sits on the board of the International Federation of Customs Brokers (IFCBA) and most recently she was elected Managing Director. She was a past member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Produce Marketing Association (OPMA) , the Association of International Customs and Border Agencies (AICBA) and the CSCB Toronto Regional Council. In 2019 she was named to Supply Chain Managements (SCMA) first-ever list of 100 Influential Women in Canadian Supply Chain Management.

SHERI GONYOU

CCS (CDA) VICE PRESIDENT, CANADIAN BROKERAGE OPERATIONS & REGULATORY AFFAIRS

Sheri brings over 36 years of experience working solely for Willson, holding various roles throughout her career, starting out as a junior analyst in our Sarnia office. She spent several years working in our Client Service department ensuring compliance, client satisfaction and assisting clients in navigating available technology solutions. Sheri is dedicated to corporate, customer compliance and operational excellence while adhering to the ever-changing customs environment.

Sheri received her Customs Broker Professional status from the Canada Border Services Agency and is a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS). Sheri has served on the Board of Directors with the Association of International Customs and Border Agencies (AICBA) and is an active member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers.

BRIAN BARBER

LCB, CCS (CDA & US) VICE PRESIDENT, U.S. BROKERAGE OPERATIONS & GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

With over 24 years of industry experience, Brian is a licensed customs broker and Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), and is the qualifying officer supporting the corporate license and national permit of Willson International. Brian has unique insight into trade issues, particularly trade with Canada at northern border ports of entry. Leading the company in integrated solutions, he has played a key role in partnering with software providers to meet evolving regulatory requirements and provide solutions that benefit both Willson and its customers.

Brian spent a year with the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America in Washington, DC, overseeing industry-specific education. He is active in leadership roles for several trade associations and continues to be engaged in various U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Partner Government Agency working groups. Brian is currently serving his second term as an appointed member of the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC) and is COAC’s Co-chair of the Rapid Response Subcommittee and Broker Modernization and Modernized Entry Processes Working Groups.

Jack langelaan

Jack brings a breadth of knowledge and expertise to Willson International. Having started at an entry level position with the company over 36 years ago, Jack has been involved in every aspect of the business. With an education in sales and marketing, and decades of experience in customs compliance and logistics in all sectors, he has a unique ability to add value to your supply chain.

JON WEINGARTEN

Vice President, General Manager, Logistics

Jon comes to Willson International with close to 25 years of experience in the Logistics industry. He spent more than 15 years in a Senior Management role with CEVA Logistics and most recently with Buckland Customs Brokers.

Willson is committed to and focused on the growth of the Logistics business as a part of our full service offering to our clients. Jon’s leadership is key to realizing our potential.

VICE PRESIDENT, SALES

JC comes to Wilson International with 25 years’ experience developing enhanced distribution, transportation, and supply chain solutions. His experience includes Sales leadership roles in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands. JC has a strong track record assessing customer needs, and adding value with customized solutions. He is well positioned to help existing and new Willson customers transform their supply chains.
